SERVINGS




  • 1 can chickpeas ( 15 ounces)
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ cup of tahini (sesame paste)
  • 2 Tablespoons Roasted Habanero Oiljefe chili oil
  • Salt & Pepper TT
  • ¼ cup of water
  • Pinch of Paprika
  • ½ fresh lemon juice

Directions


  1. Start with the tahini and fresh lemon juice in a food processor and mix for 30 seconds. Scrape down the sides and continue to process until whipped like consistency.
  2. Add the Oil Jefe, cumin, and minced garlic. Then blend till smooth.
  3. Rinse and drain the chickpeas then add half to the mixture and blend for a minute or so. Add the rest of the chickpeas and continue to blend for another minute or so.
  4. You will notice that the hummus mixture is thick, this is where you add water slowly until a desired consistency is reached.
  5. Add salt and pepper to desired taste. Mix for 30 seconds then scrape into your dish and drizzle on some Oil Jefe and serve.
    Voila! Tasty, Spicy Hummus that is guaranteed to be a crowd favorite. Serve with Tortilla Chips, Pita or Vegetables.
